last night we rode our bicycles next to the low tide
because we both needed it.
it felt so good to get out of the city for one night
just to breath in the atlantic air
and leave our troubles behind.
so I'll move to South Carolina
and give myself a brand-new name.
I'll get in my car before I make my mind up
and make another mistake.
looking out over the inlet
I don't recognize a thing.
that's when I realize I have no idea
what I am doing here. so I'm getting away.
by the sound of things it seems like the times up
for me to remain in this place
so I'm heading down towards South Carolina
where I can give it all away.
Track Name: Swan Song
as planes were passing by
so was the time
that we were laying there talking about the weather.
you played with your hair
and I looked towards the sky,
and thats about when we both heard it
for the first time.
all summer long
I've been humming a Swan Song
but I couldn't make out the words
til she came along.
now its pouring and cold
and the clouds are screaming "I told you so."
but I will never listen
to something that's so big and looming over my head.
sometimes it's best not to go back the way you came
even if you think it'll be the same, it will never be the same.
